Turning Point USA has chosen Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie Kirk, to take over as its CEO and Chair of the Board following her husband’s shooting death on September 10, 2025. The board made the decision unanimously.
In their statement, TPUSA’s leadership said Charlie had previously communicated to multiple executives that Erika should assume leadership in the event of his passing. They expressed confidence that the organization was prepared for this transition.
Erika, who has been involved publicly with Turning Point USA through past events, pledged to continue Charlie’s mission and to sustain the organization’s growth. The announcement comes as TPUSA reports a surge in interest from students seeking to join or form new chapters.
