Trump has been charged with several crimes by a grand jury in Manhattan.

On Thursday, a grand jury in New York City found former President Trump guilty on several counts. Before this, the Manhattan DA’s office and a detective with a left-wing bias named Alvin Bragg had been looking into him for years.

Reports from Thursday night say that a grand jury in Manhattan has decided that Trump broke the law when he paid adult film star Stormy Daniels $130,000 during the 2016 presidential campaign. Fox News Digital says that a look is being taken at the $150,000 payment made to former Playboy model Karen McDougal.

While everyone was talking about the accusations against Trump, Fox News Digital looked into times when Bragg was accused for not being tough enough on crime.

Even though he was chosen because he wanted to change things, the best lawyer in Manhattan has been accused of often letting bad people and killers off the hook. When a nurse was thought to have killed her ex-husband with a knife, the New York man’s family says he let her go free to save money for himself.

Stephen Murray, a brother of James Murray, wrote a long letter to Bragg in December. Part of his letter said, “You have put your version of what happened ahead of the jury’s job of finding the facts, and you have not kept your promise to the court or to my family to seek even a small amount of accountability.”

In 2020, James Murray’s ex-wife Tracy McCarter stabbed him to death. McCarter said she did what she did to protect herself because Murray was a dangerous drunk. The group Color of Change, which pushed for McCarter’s release, gave money to Bragg’s campaign. The New York Post also said that people who want to stop domestic violence were in favor of McCarter.

He called for McCarter’s freedom as part of his campaign. They say that because she gave money to Color of Change, she wasn’t charged with murder.

Since he took power, there have been more events like this one. After making deals with or giving light terms to career criminals who later randomly punched a woman, a man who brutally attacked a 55-year-old nurse, and a shop owner who killed an aggressive ex-convict who attacked him, he got a lot of bad press.

In his first year as Manhattan’s top lawyer, 2022, Bragg made more than half of all crime cases less serious. He ran for office on a promise to change the way the criminal justice system works. In a message called “Day One,” which he sent to his staff on his first day in office, he told them to lower the punishments for crimes like robbery and assault. Before the change, Fox News Digital said that crime in New York City had gone up by 27.6 percent.

In 2020, Bragg will drop 35% more crimes than he did in 2019.

The New York Post says that Trump’s attacks on Bragg are payback for the $1 million that George Soros, a millionaire who supports the left, gave to Bragg.

In a piece he posted this month on Truth Social, Trump called Bragg a “Soros-style racist who gets orders from D.C.” He also said, “I beat them TWICE, and the second time I did much better, but they still don’t want to run against “TRUMP.”

Tom Anderson, who runs the Government Integrity Project at Virginia’s National Legal and Policy Center, called Soros’s gifts a “shock and awe” tactic.

Anderson wrote in the New York Post, “George Soros has done the political equivalent of’shock and awe’ with dark money.” He was talking about how anonymous campaign contributions are common in city attorney races all over the country. Soros broke records, switched political parties, and made a joke out of the whole American system of political funding.

After reading Bragg’s “Day One” letter and other bad things said about the mayor since he took office in 2021, New York City Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said he was “very, very worried.”

In a letter Sewell sent to police officers last year, the commissioner emphasized how important it was to protect them. That’s why I want to meet with the district attorney and talk about how to find a better balance between protecting the police, making the city safer, and changing the way things are done.

Steven Cheung, a spokesman for President Trump, says that former Vice President Joe Biden and “radical Democrats” asked Bragg to look into the president.

Cheung’s claim that President Donald J. Trump is safe and hasn’t done anything wrong is shared by even the most left Democrats.
