The FBI has broadened its investigation into the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, amid a surge of conspiracy theories online. Key areas under review include social media chatter, deleted messages, and speculation over the shooter’s motives.
Officials are sifting through Discord and other forum conversations tied to the suspect, Tyler Robinson, as well as text messages and other communications that may suggest premeditation or support from others. Questions being examined include where the shot was fired from, whether there were accomplices, and how the pieces lined up in videos that some users flagged as odd—such as hand gestures near Kirk before the gun went off.
Director Kash Patel has confirmed that investigators are tracking every lead, including digital evidence and witness interviews, while continuing forensic work on ballistic and scene evidence. The case remains active and developing.
