In a stunning turn of events on Wednesday morning, FBI agents shot and killed a citizen of Utah who was armed with a handgun. The operation was conducted as part of an inquiry into purported death threats made against Vice President Kamala Harris, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and President Joe Biden.

The deadly shootout occurred at around 6:15 a.m. in Provo, when federal officials were attempting to carry out arrest and search warrants at a residence. The FBI’s Salt Lake City field office provided The Post with information on the event.

According to a federal complaint acquired from the Utah US Attorney’s office, the subject of the inquiry is a 75-year-old man named Craig Robertson. Although little specifics were released regarding the “agent-involved shooting,” a spokeswoman acknowledged the tragic loss of life and emphasized that the event is undergoing a thorough assessment in accordance with FBI practice.

According to anonymous law enforcement sources who spoke with the Associated Press, Robertson was armed during the altercation.

Robertson, who called himself a “MAGA TRUMPER” online, was facing significant accusations, including making threats across state lines, threatening the president, and hindering and retaliating against federal law enforcement authorities with threats.

In the 39-page complaint, Robertson’s disturbing Facebook posts were revealed, in which he made alarming threats against the lives of Biden and other prominent Democrats like Harris, Bragg, New York Attorney General Letitia James, US Attorney General Merrick Garland, and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Robertson, a member of the United States Air Force, recently hinted on social media that he was plotting an attack on Vice President Joe Biden during Trump’s planned visit to Utah. “I hear Biden is coming to Utah,” Robertson wrote. Getting out the old ghille outfit and giving the M24 sniper weapon a good cleaning. Hello, Chief Idiot!

Within the complaint, an FBI agent swore to the fact that Robertson’s tweet constituted a “knowing and willful true threat to kill or cause injury to President Biden.”

This disturbing event highlights the need for proactive law enforcement actions and provides insight into the security problems faced by public authorities. The FBI’s determination to follow established procedures in investigating the event involving its agents is indicative of their commitment to openness and responsibility.
