The Justice Department apparently had two political appointees from the Biden administration prevent prosecution against Hunter Biden for three tax offenses and one firearms felony over a year ago.
Two senior law enforcement officials told NBC News that the accusations against the president’s son include misdemeanor counts for failing to submit taxes and a felony count of tax evasion connected to a business cost for one year of taxes, as well as a criminal charge linked to a gun purchase.
The two individuals reportedly expressed “growing frustration” inside the FBI due to the fact that the Hunter probe was mostly wrapped up over a year ago. According to a third source for NBC News, the IRS investigation was concluded more than a year ago.
On Wednesday, an IRS whistleblower claimed that two political appointees from the Biden administration were lobbying within the Justice Department to prevent prosecution against Hunter for tax breaches. In addition, Attorney General Merrick Garland allegedly declined to provide some distance between the investigation and President Joe Biden by appointing a special counsel.
The DOJ has been looking into potential tax fraud, money laundering, and lobbying law violations on the part of Hunter since May of this year. Whether or whether there is sufficient evidence for the grand jury to prosecute Trump, U.S. prosecutor David Weiss has considered it.
Hunter has not been charged with anything as of yet.
Where the hell have the Department of Justice and the Internal Revenue Service been this whole time? “It looks like the Biden administration was working overtime to shield the Bidens from accountability,” said James Comer, the Republican chairman of the House Oversight Committee, in an interview with Breitbart News.
