When hearing the news that President Donald Trump wanted to appoint Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, Feinstein and the Democrats tried fighting back.
Feinstein even declared to the new appointee that “the dogma lives loudly with you,” much to the dismay of Catholics and pro-lifers. “I think in your case, professor, when you read your speeches, the conclusion one draws is that the dogma lives loudly within you. And that’s of concern,” Feinstein stated.
Amy Coney Barrett was confirmed by 55-43 vote, unsurprisingly along party lines.
Ashley McGuire, a senior fellow with The Catholic Association stated: “Amy Coney Barrett will make an excellent judge, and we welcome her confirmation despite unprecedented and unconstitutional attacks on her faith.”
“Catholics were alarmed by the anti-Catholic bigotry on display from Democrats during her hearings, but her confirmation is a testament to the enduring constitutional principle that there can be no religious test for office.”

As reported by Paul Bois for The Daily Wire:
Barrett became a champion for faithful Catholics everywhere when Sen. Dianne Feinstein questioned if she could serve in the judiciary due to her Catholic convictions regarding abortion and traditional marriage.
Sen. Al Franken of Minnesota similarly questioned Barrett’s competence when he called her “irresponsible” for accepting an opportunity to teach as part of a fellowship program with Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).
“I mean, this is a group that fights against equal treatment of LGBT people; this is a group which calls for the sterilization of transgender people abroad,” Franken falsely asserted.
ADF spokeswoman Kerri Kupec debunked this smear tactic in an interview with The Daily Signal, saying that Franken simply repeated the Southern Poverty Law Center’s slander against ADF’s international affiliate and that they would “never condone government-compelled sterilization, as he alleged.”
