In Florida, authorities say two suspects planted an Apple AirTag under a couple’s SUV, then followed the vehicle to their home and ambushed them at gunpoint.
The incident occurred in Odessa, where the armed assailants forced the victims into their garage and fled once the home alarm sounded. Investigators later located tracking evidence on the vehicle.
Police arrested 26-year-old Luis Charles in Tampa and 32-year-old Odardy Maldonado-Rodriguez in Pasco County. Both face multiple charges including armed burglary, kidnapping, robbery, false imprisonment, and illegal installation of a tracking device.
