“No matter what laws you make, the bad guy will get a gun,” said Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods.
Sheriff Billy Woods of Marion County, Indiana, attacked “society,” “school districts,” and “gun law rhetoric” on Friday after he said that two teens, one of whom was only 12 years old, had been arrested in connection with the horrible murders of three teens in Florida. One of the teens was only 12 years old.
Woods said at a press meeting that the Attorney General’s Office is thinking about charging all three suspects as adults.
The truth is that people have let them down as a whole. We don’t teach our kids how to be responsible. Woods said on Friday, “We tend to make them worse than they are.”
Layla Silvernail, Camille Quarles, and a 17-year-old boy were shot and killed in rural Marion County on or around March 30.
When reporters asked Woods how he planned to tell the suspects’ moms that their sons had done wrong, he said that he would have to “look them in the eyes.”
Parents of [the suspects] don’t have much to offer. Parents, put yourself in their shoes and try to see things from their point of view. What the…? Panic. I worry about my kids. Embarrassed. Ashamed. What do you think they are going to say? Sheriff told us.
I can’t even imagine what they must be going through as a parent. He said, “I know what I’m about to say will hurt your feelings, but all the moms in this country need your help, not just these.”
Sheriff also said that he doesn’t like how people often blame guns for direct crime.
A witness told Woods, “They want to blame the one thing that can’t do the crime, which is the gun.” These people are the bad guys.
“The bad guy will get a gun no matter what laws you make,” he said. He said that he had no other choices.
Woods went on to say that institutions and society are to blame for young people not learning to be responsible for themselves.
He shouted with pride, “I’m a dad!” My sons know that when they were young, I let the barber hit their behinds.
Woods says that the three criminal suspects were all part of a group that broke into people’s cars and stole their guns.
If the law lets me, I’ll put on a mask to hide their face for what some might call a “simple robbery.” Woods said, “Parents should be able to find out who their kids hang out with and stop it.” If the law lets me, I’ll put the info on my website and tell the press about it.
Next, he said, “Our school districts, not just in this city but also in the rest of the state and the country, must stop underestimating what their students can do.” Make sure they can’t get away with what they’re doing. There lies the cause of sadness.
Silvernail was bleeding out on the side of SE 183rd Avenue Road near Forest Lakes Park when the cops found her. The baby was in serious condition when she was taken to the hospital, where she stayed until she was declared dead.
The day after Silvernail was found, officers from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) found the body of a 17-year-old boy who had been shot to death. The place was at the corner of SE 94th Street and SE 188th Court.
On April 1, 2019, the MCSO Major Crimes Unit, Forensic Unit, and Underwater Recovery Team found Silvernail’s car in the ocean. They did the above things because they had a clue that led them to Malauka Loop and Malauka Loop Trace. There were about 9 kilometers between the car and where Silvernail was found.
The sheriff says that the suspects and the people who were killed were in the same place at the same time. They went places in Silvernail’s car. Authorities say that it’s likely that all three people were shot at the same time.
Woods says that Silvernail chose to take part in the study on her own.
After getting a search order and looking through Silvernail’s car, the police found 16-year-old Quarles dead from a shooting. Woods says that the people who were caught said that they shot Quarles in his car.
Woods had told Fox News Digital before that he thought the suspects were “wannabe” or “neighborhood” gang members and that the victims had just met them.
The cops haven’t said who the man victim is yet.
