Two teenage boys are in custody following the discovery of a 14-year-old girl’s body — shot multiple times and set on fire — in a wooded area near Pace, Florida.
Authorities say the victim, identified as 14-year-old Danika Troy, had been reported missing after taking her electric scooter. A passerby found her remains along a walking trail off Kimberly Road on December 2. Investigators quickly identified and arrested 14-year-old Kimahri Blevins and 16-year-old Gabriel Williams, both former classmates of the victim.
According to law-enforcement officials, Williams allegedly stole his mother’s handgun to carry out the shooting. A cooperating witness told deputies the boys had planned the attack — reportedly a response to what they described as a social-media dispute.
Both suspects now face first-degree premeditated murder charges. Prosecutors are working with the state attorney to seek adult-level charges due to the gravity of the crimes. The motive remains under investigation as detectives continue to examine evidence, statements, and digital records to build their case.
