A eulogy was delivered by former President Trump at the funeral of Aretha Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway, one of his earliest and most fervent supporters.

Unfortunately, Hardaway, better known as “Diamond” from the social media combo “Diamond & Silk,” went suddenly at the young age of 51. The former President praised her as a “magnificent” woman in his farewell address. The following statement was posted to his Truth Social page by him:

This should be of great concern to all Americans, especially Republicans. Diamond, of the musical duet Diamond & Silk, has died in her home state of North Carolina. Once Silk passed on, her soul continued to accompany her. There has never been a more talented or successful TEAM than this one. Diamond’s unexpected death was a severe shock to everyone; perhaps her enormous and priceless HEART just stopped beating. Our loss of that magnificent gem will always be fresh in our minds.

On Saturday, during her funeral, the former President reiterated his sentiments.

She was such a wonderful woman; I’m very sorry for your loss. We know she’s still around because she’s gazing at us. Sister was one of her favorite family members. He added, “I spoke with her, and she was a lovely, passionate woman with a fantastic, enormous, beautiful intellect.”

After recalling Diamond & Silk’s unwavering support throughout his whole campaign, the former President had nothing but praise for the company.

So I handed the microphone to Diamond, and he said, “I want everybody to know that we stand behind Donald J. Trump,” all pumped up and enthusiastic. What a terrible time of day! After describing it as “amazing,” he continued:

Diamond and Silk remained on June 16th, 2015, to watch a cable channel they had never seen before. They were lifetime Democrats who exclaimed, “He’s accurate,” when they heard I was running for President. We each understood what the other was saying. We were deep into an intense discussion. Ahead of us are challenges, but we discussed strategies for overcoming them.

Before concluding his remarks, the former President said everyone would “greatly” miss Diamond.

Despite our sadness, he concluded, “we will commemorate her legacy eternally and continue on a mission that has been an extraordinary one.”
