Alonzo Pierre Mingo, 37, a former UPS employee, is accused of killing three persons during a violent house invasion in a terrifying incident that occurred in Minnesota. Within the victims’ home, the tragedy played out in front of two small children, ages two and four.

Mingo forced his way into the residences of Mario Alberto Trejo Estrada, 39, Shannon Patricia Jungwirth, 42, and Jorge Alexander Reyes-Jungwirth, 20. Mingo had arrived at the scene wearing a UPS uniform, a holdover from his previous employment. He had Mario and Shannon, together with their two kids, at gunpoint.

An emergency call indicating a disturbance around 12:30 p.m. on Friday prompted the Coon Rapids Police to respond to the scene. When they got there, they found the two unharmed kids and three victims, all of whom had head wounds from gunshots.

Three people, including Mingo, were seen getting out of a blue Nissan Altima that was parked outside the house in surveillance footage from a nearby location. Two had on UPS uniforms, and one had a cardboard package in his hands. Mingo was seen on camera guiding Mario around the house to a room where Shannon and the kids were staying. He then led them out of the room after extorting money at gunpoint. Then he dragged Shannon back into the room and gave her a close-range lethal shooting.

During this struggle, the children who were inside the house discovered their mother dead. The smaller child drew them away from the scene as the bigger child tried to check on her in a distressed manner.

Mingo was subsequently caught driving the blue automobile when he was stopped by the Coon Rapids Police. At present, he is detained on a $5 million bond. The UPS uniform and fingerprints on a cardboard box that matched those in the house were discovered by the police in his car.

Mingo, who worked for UPS as a seasonal employee until the beginning of January, may spend up to 40 years in jail if found guilty of the charges. He had a past of legal troubles and was arrested by ICE in March 2019.

The horrific deaths and the traumatizing effects on the children who survived make this a very upsetting incident, and the investigation into this vicious crime is still ongoing.
