A New York farmer near the U.S.-Canada border has expressed frustration over an overwhelming influx of migrants crossing his property, pointing to the Biden-Harris administration’s immigration policies as the cause. The farmer, whose land has become a frequent passage for migrants entering the country, has called the situation unmanageable, highlighting the strain it has placed on his operations and safety.
“Every day, we see more and more people crossing through here,” the farmer said, explaining that the influx has been steadily increasing. He noted that the migrants often cut through his fields and pastures, leaving behind damage to fences and crops, creating a costly disruption to his livelihood.
The farmer placed the blame directly on the federal government’s handling of the border, specifically criticizing President Biden and Vice President Harris for not taking stronger action to secure the borders and control the flow of migrants. “I absolutely blame Biden and Harris for this mess,” he stated, arguing that the lack of clear policy has led to confusion and contributed to the surge of people crossing illegally.
In addition to the physical damage to his property, the farmer expressed concerns about safety, both for himself and his family. “We have no idea who’s coming across, and it’s frightening,” he added, urging the federal government to take immediate steps to address the situation and provide support to landowners like him who are bearing the brunt of the crisis.
The situation at the northern border has drawn attention as more migrants, facing challenges at the southern U.S. border, are opting to cross into the U.S. from Canada. This shift has led to increased pressure on border states like New York, with local farmers and residents feeling the impact.
As calls for tighter border control grow louder, the farmer hopes his concerns will reach the administration and lead to more effective solutions to manage the ongoing surge of migrants crossing through private properties along the border.
