Fourth Indictment For Trump? Trump’s Attorney Says Yes

Alina Habba, an attorney representing Donald Trump, anticipates that a fourth indictment against the former president will be issued “within weeks,” this time stemming from the Georgia election investigation. Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis is leading the probe, focusing on potential crimes committed by Trump in his efforts to overturn the election results in the state.

Habba criticized Willis, claiming that the prosecutor’s recent actions, such as arranging fresh pictures for her public relations team, suggest a desire to seek attention and align herself with other allegedly corrupt district attorneys and attorneys general in the country. According to Habba, the Fulton County grand jury has completed its investigation into Trump and is close to making a decision on whether to charge him with a crime. The inquiry centers on allegations that Trump pressured officials in Georgia to find voter fraud and manipulate votes in his favor during the election.

Willis expressed her readiness to proceed with the case, emphasizing the significance of investigating potential election interference. Habba asserted that the intention behind such charges is to keep Trump occupied with legal battles and distract from any potential political campaigns he may be considering.

Interestingly, Trump appeared to welcome the prospect of additional charges, suggesting that he only needs “one more indictment” to bolster his popularity for the 2024 presidential election. During a Republican Party dinner in Alabama, Trump claimed that every time he faces an indictment, his popularity in the polls rises, implying that he sees legal challenges as opportunities to gain public support.

Recently, Trump was arraigned on four charges, accusing him of attempting to use fraudulent electoral college votes to overturn the 2020 election. He pleaded not guilty and maintained that the charges were politically motivated. In addition to this case, Trump is facing separate indictments related to the mishandling of classified documents and hush money payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. The legal battles continue to be a central aspect of Trump’s post-presidency life.
