Actress Candace Cameron Bure of Full House and the new Fuller House spin-off has released a new book and responds to those who mockingly say “prayer isn’t enough” in the wake of tragedy.
Bure, a Christian, deeply believes in the power of prayer and has seemingly had enough of the mocking of those events on social media:
“It bothers me and I feel sad for the people who write it, because the first thing I think is, ‘Well, they’ve never experienced the power of prayer. They just don’t know,’” Bure said. “Prayer, for me, is always where you start. That’s the start of your solution. Then, yes, you take action.”
“If you don’t start with [prayer] there’s no power behind it, because God’s the power,” she said. “God can do anything, change anything — change hearts. It’s the heart of all of us that need to be changed and that’s where God needs to get in.”
She went into detail about how she prays every day and how it impacts her life, proclaiming she doesn’t feel balanced when she doesn’t take the time to pray and give God thanks.
“If I’ve got a tough day, God’s right there with me by my side,” Bure said, going on to say that the believes many people misunderstand prayer and fail to realize that it is “an open dialogue with God at any time of the day or night.”
“There’s nothing too small to talk to Him about there’s nothing too crazy or big idea to ask Him about,” Bure said. “Whether its praise or asking for help it’s just an ongoing dialogue.”
She even stats that she’ll vent to Him. along with the power of Prayer playing a large role in her book.
That’s something we strongly need in this country this day and age. This is a good strong message but a famed and celebrated actress who was clearly raised right.
I hope we see more of Mrs. Bure in the future. This book is only a single step toward something greater we hope.
Her daughter is following in her footsteps as well. She’s a singer, author, and “social media icon”

As reported by Fox News:
Natasha Bure grew up knowing three things: Always listen to mom, have faith in God and you can do anything you want as long as put your whole heart into it.
The daughter of “Full House” star Candace Cameron, Bure grew up with a lot of rules (like having her mouth washed out with soap after cursing). But the 18-year-old embraced those rules and is now thankful to her parents for instilling in her their strong values.
“I think for a long time, my mom was just strictly my mother…she was somebody who was disciplining me and setting rules in our house,” Bure told Fox News.
But it was those rules that shaped Bure into the person she is today.
In her new book, “Let’s Be Real,” Bure writes of her parents sending her to a Christian summer camp after she hit a rough patch in the 9th grade.
“When I was going through that difficult time, I was straying away from my relationship with God and I wasn’t in line with my faith,” she told us. “I wanted to be on my own path and I think my parents knew what I needed…and because of that, that’s what got me out of a [bad] time.”
She added, “[It] made me who I am today.”
