Republican Newt Gingrich, who served as the previous speaker of the House of Representatives, is of the opinion that certain members of the “Squad” deserve to be censured for their views on the war between Hamas and Israel. Gingrich had this position throughout his time as a member of Congress. During an interview on Fox Business’s Kudlow, he made these statements, in which he asserted that the Democratic leadership is “frightened” of certain Democrats such as Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Ilhan Omar (D-MN), all of whom have called for an end to what they refer to as the “occupation” of Israel. In addition, he claimed that the Democratic leadership is ” He stated that the leadership of the Democratic Party is “terrified.”
Following that, Gingrich proceeded by asserting that “the Democratic Party is led from the Left.” Those on the Left are the ones who are trying to bring it down. On the other hand, you have nine or ten individuals who are steadfast in their support of terrorist groups. He went on to add that these members should be labeled as “pro-terrorist” because of their attitude on the issue, and he stated that the House should rebuke them for their acts in this respect. He went on to say that the House should reprimand these members for their activities.
Tlaib has been criticized for her anti-Israel attitudes, most notably her claim that Israel was to blame for the bombing of the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza. The former Speaker of the House made reference to remarks made by Tlaib, who has been denounced for her anti-Israel sentiments. On the other hand, the information acquired by the administration of Vice President Joe Biden indicated that it was not the result of an action performed by Israel but rather a missile that was fired by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Despite the evidence that was presented to Tlaib, she did not retract her statements and continued to accuse President Joe Biden and Israel of being responsible for a “genocide” when she was speaking at a demonstration in support of Palestine. In light of the newly discovered information, Gingrich expressed his desire that she will address the situation and condemn Islamic Jihad.
He went on to point out that none of these members had condemned certain crimes that had taken place throughout the battle, such as the murder of babies, assaults on women, and the capture of grandparents as hostages. Newt Gingrich said it as “embarrassing” to witness Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) pretend that he hadn’t seen the posts made by Squad members. Newt Gingrich also described such statements as “plain baloney.” According to Gingrich, assertions of this nature are “embarrassing.”
