In a tribute to Pride Month, the June cover of a prominent women’s fashion magazine, Glamour UK, showcases a pregnant transgender individual who identifies as a man.

Logan Brown, who was assigned female at birth but embraces a male gender identity, is the focal point of Glamour’s feature. The magazine highlights Brown’s unique journey, revealing that their non-binary drag performer partner, Bailey J. Mills, unexpectedly conceived a child.

Glamour magazine, published by Condé Nast, sheds light on the transphobic comments that the couple faced online, particularly a commenter who wrote “Men can’t get pregnant” across Brown’s social media platforms.

While Brown’s professional role is described as a “residential children’s support worker,” likely indicating employment at a children’s shelter, the focus of the feature centers on their personal experience.

Brown shared their emotional journey upon discovering the pregnancy, recounting a moment early in the morning when Bailey was sound asleep, and Brown experienced a peculiar sensation. The subsequent positive pregnancy test results prompted Brown to pause their testosterone treatment due to health considerations, leading to a sense of upheaval where their perceived masculinity felt compromised.

However, over time, Brown developed a deep sense of love and celebration for their pregnancy. They confidently pushed back against those who argue that only women can conceive, asserting that such arguments are baseless. Brown emphasized the significance of authenticity in their gender identity, proudly identifying as a trans man who is experiencing pregnancy.

By featuring Brown on their cover, Glamour UK aims to raise awareness, celebrate diversity, and challenge societal norms surrounding gender and pregnancy.
