TV Personality From Fox News Tucker Carlson’s former colleague, Greg Gutfeld, has sprung to his defense. He blamed the “hall monitor failures” for wanting to cancel the once-popular Fox News show.

Gutfeld responded on Tuesday to a slew of hidden-camera documentaries that claimed to reveal the “real” Tucker Carlson making off-the-cuff remarks while blissfully oblivious that he was being filmed. The bulk of these movies have been disseminated by Media Matters for America, an organization that regularly attacks Carlson.

Earlier today, senior fellow at Media Matters Matt Gertz tweeted a link to a story that included the stolen tapes, calling them “NEW FOXLEAKS: Media Matters got three more behind-the-scenes videos with creepy on-set comments by former Fox host Tucker Carlson.”

While Media Matters claimed the stolen footage showed Carlson joking around with editors and guests while getting ready for his show, Gutfeld argued otherwise.

For the sake of brevity, I will repeat what Gutfeld tweeted: “It seems like everyone understands nonsense banter between segments, except for bitter hall monitor failures who write about the lives of people who are much more successful.”

Similar feelings were expressed by former Fox Nation staffer Lara Logan, who said that Gutfeld wasn’t harsh enough on Media Matters. What a nice thing for Gutfeld to do. Media Matters staffers are paid to depict their opponents in the worst possible light. They can’t destroy Tucker Carlson because people are savvy to these tricks and don’t care,” she argued.

Gutfeld has defended Carlson on many occasions since his abrupt departure from the network on April 24; his most recent defense was on April 16. Even just hours after the announcement that Carlson was running for president, the popular “Gutfeld!” anchor was making jokes about it on “The Five.”

Geraldo Rivera, who frequently fills in for Tucker Carlson on “The Five,” also gave him a poor evaluation two days after Gutfeld did so on the show. In response to a query concerning Tucker Carlson’s outlandish conspiracy theory from January 6, he said, “I don’t desire ill things on anyone, but there is no question, as I suggested at the time, that Tucker Carlson’s crazy plot scenario was “bulls***.” The insurrection Trump incited after losing the election aimed to destroy the Constitution.

You’re a class act,” Gutfeld said to Geraldo instead of disagreeing with him. The champion of the people.
