In a recent development that has shocked and saddened many, Hamas has released a new propaganda video revealing the tragic fate of two Israeli hostages, while a third remains in captivity. This latest video, part of a disturbing series released by the group, has been described as a “sick guessing game” by observers.
Noa Argamani, 26, who was abducted from the Nova music festival, appeared in the video, her third since being taken hostage. In a distressing turn of events, she disclosed the deaths of fellow captives Yossi Sharabi and Itai Svirsky. An extended version of the video, which circulated on social media, included gruesome images purported to be the bloodied bodies of Sharabi and Svirsky being placed into body bags, though these images have not been officially verified.
In the footage, Argamani recounted being held in a building with Hamas’ military wing and her fellow hostages when it was struck by an Israeli airstrike. She described the harrowing moments of the strike and the subsequent efforts to rescue them from the rubble. Argamani stated that while she and Svirsky were initially saved, Svirsky later perished in another airstrike during their relocation.
Argamani’s video condemned Israel’s military actions in Gaza, attributing the deaths of Sharabi and Svirsky to IDF airstrikes. However, IDF spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari refuted these claims, asserting that the building where they were held was not targeted by Israeli forces. He acknowledged, though, that the IDF conducted a strike nearby, potentially endangering the hostages’ lives.
The release of this latest video has been condemned by the Israeli Ministry of Defense as another instance of Hamas’ “psychological abuse.” The video’s emergence follows earlier footage released by Hamas, in which the hostages were seen alive and urging Israeli officials to secure their release.
This ongoing crisis has drawn international attention, particularly in the case of Argamani, whose mother, Liora, a terminal cancer patient, has made heartfelt appeals to Israel and China for her daughter’s return. The hostage situation continues to be a point of deep concern and sorrow for the families involved and the international community at large.
