Mousa Abu Marzouk, a senior Hamas co-founder, abruptly ended a live television interview after being pressed about the impact of the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks.
During the exchange, the host asked whether the assaults had advanced the Palestinian cause — a question that visibly irritated Marzouk. He responded sharply that a small force could not “liberate” Palestine on its own, and then launched into an outburst, ordering the host to “go to hell.”
Marzouk, who is based in Qatar, had earlier defended the actions of Hamas as part of resistance to occupation. The interview aired as Gaza remains under heavy strain, raising fresh tensions and drawing scrutiny of internal divisions within Hamas’s leadership.
