Hamas, a terrorist group based in Palestine, has revealed that it has received help from Iran for its recent surprise strikes on Israel. The spokeswoman for Hamas refused to elaborate on the nature of the assistance or name any other backers of the organization.
People in Iran let off fireworks, waved flags, and cheered in the streets after the strikes on Israel. These celebrations followed the attacks, which were carried out by Israel. Nasser Kanani, a spokeswoman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, lauded the bombings as “victories for the anti-Zionist resistance.”
Ali Khamenei, the current Supreme Leader of Iran, has stated his wish for the “eradication” of the state of Israel at the hands of the Palestinian people and other resistance groups operating in the area.
The chief military advisor to Khamenei, Yahya Rahim Safavi, extended his congratulations to the Palestinian militants and promised Iran’s assistance till the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem.
Hamas and other Palestinian terrorist organizations have traditionally received support from Iran in the form of financial assistance, military assistance, and logistical support. The Iran policy of the administration of Vice President Joe Biden has come under fire for a number of reasons, including the easing of sanctions and the unfreezing of Iranian assets.
Some people believe that Iran’s policy of providing financial assistance to Hamas and other terrorist organizations in the Middle East constitutes a danger to the security of Israel as well as to the stability of the region as a whole.
