Well, another Obama appointee is accused of committing perjury, but that might be a little unfair. After all… fishes swim, birds fly and liberals lie.

That’s just the nature of the beast. Clapper testified under oath more than once that he never talked to the press until he left government disservice. That wasn’t exactly true, he did talk to CNN, for whom he has since goner to work for.

“House Intel Republican report alleges that James Clapper gave “inconsistent testimony” about his media contacts. Here’s what Clapper told CNN’s Don Lemon last week. Source tells me this will be a “problem” for ”

    Daily Caller reports:

James Clapper, the director of national intelligence under former President Barack Obama, gave “inconsistent testimony” about contacts he had with the media while in office, according to a document released Thursday by Republicans on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

“Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, now a CNN national security analyst, provided inconsistent testimony to the Committee about his contacts with the media, including CNN,” reads one entry in a seven-page summary of findings from the committee’s Russia investigation.

The committee voted on Thursday to formally end the Russia probe. A 150-page report authored by Republicans will now undergo an intelligence community review before being released to the public.

Committee Republicans released a one-page preview of its report last week in which they pointed to “problematic contacts between senior Intelligence Community officials and the media.”

Reporter Sara Carter revealed that after Clapper gave classified briefings to Obama and Trump, he then leaked the contents of those meetings to CNN.

    Sara Carter reports:

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper allegedly leaked information to CNN in early last year regarding the classified briefing given to then President-Elect Donald Trump and President Barrack Obama on the salacious dossier and its contents claiming the Russians had compromising information on the president-elect, according to government sources, who noted the evidence of the leak was collected during the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia investigation.

Clapper, who was one of four senior Obama administration officials to attend the briefing with the presidents, also stated his “profound dismay at the leaks” in an official statement issued in January, 2017 and warned that the leaks were “extremely corrosive and damaging” to national security, according to the press release.

Even Christopher Steele, the alleged author of the Hillary dossier, has admitted he has no idea if any of the dossier is true.
