Law enforcement pieced together Tyler Robinson’s movements across Utah Valley University by leveraging campus security footage, vehicle registrations, and route analysis.
They describe the route as follows: Robinson drove onto campus in a gray Dodge Challenger, parked near a tunnel beneath Campus Drive, and entered the heart of campus. Cameras recorded him walking past the Utah Valley Institute of Religion and then toward the Losee Center. Later surveillance shows him scaling a roof adjacent to the venue where Charlie Kirk was speaking, moving to a sniper position.
After the shooting, Robinson was seen running across the rooftop, dropping down from the building, and fleeing eastward. Investigators later recovered the suspected rifle wrapped in a towel in nearby woods, along the path officials believe he used to escape.
Digital tracking, timing of camera captures, and forensic evidence combined to map what authorities say is a credible reconstruction of Robinson’s alleged trajectory while carrying out the attack.
