The number of people who believe Mueller is conducting a legitimate investigation has dropped dramatically and the number who thinks it is a witch hunt has risen sharply, showing that the raid on Cohen not only didn’t help Mueller’s case but has actually hurt it instead.
A recent Rasmussen poll shows the numbers are failing Mueller and now he has more pressure than ever to trump up charges against this president. Voters are apparently getting suspicious of Robert Mueller.
Probably due to the fact that he is conflicted 7 ways to Sunday and picked all lawyers who supported Hillary Clinton and are butthurt that she lost.
But the percentage of people calling it a witch hunt has grown even more. To make matters worse for liberal Democrats is that Trump’s approval rating is at 50% and that could play out big in the midterm elections. They were counting on historically low approval ratings in order to ride a blue wave into power in the Congress.
The media keeps saying Trump will fire Mueller, but why should he? Mueller makes him look better every time he strikes out.
“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters still believe Mueller’s investigation is an honest attempt to determine criminal wrongdoing, but that’s down from 52% last October,” Rasmussen reported. “Forty percent (40%) now consider Mueller’s probe a partisan witch hunt, an eight-point increase from 32% in the earlier survey. Fourteen percent (14%) are undecided.”
In other words, the hoopla surrounding Monday’s raid in New York – executed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York but instigated by Mueller’s investigation — is backfiring badly.
Despite an incessant drumbeat of negative news and opinions about Trump, the percentage of Americans who believe the Mueller probe is the pursuit of justice has dropped considerably in the past six months.
