Former Vice President and current attorney for President Trump, Rudy Giuliani, is being sued by Hunter Biden for allegedly violating his privacy by leaking information on Biden’s laptop. The complaint claims that Giuliani and others were fixated on and tampered with information that had been stolen from Biden’s electronic devices or storage systems. It requests that Biden’s device or hard drive, as well as any backup files or copies of the data, be returned to him and that a court order be issued to prohibit Giuliani and others from accessing, interfering with, or duplicating the material.
Giuliani has admitted he stole data from a hard drive that Biden reportedly left at a computer repair shop in Delaware in 2019. Emails and films found on this hard drive have been widely published, creating political issues for Vice President Biden.
This complaint follows a number of other legal measures, such as cease-and-desist letters from Biden’s lawyers, that have included the laptop and its contents. The proprietor of the computer repair company who tipped off the FBI to the laptop’s contents is also being sued by Biden, who has filed a countersuit.
Keep in mind that the result of these cases has not been decided upon, and that legal processes are still continuing.
