Despite the Biden administration’s claims of being the “most transparent administration in American history,” a review conducted by Fox News Digital found that Hunter Biden did not appear in the White House visitor logs from the beginning of the Biden administration through February 2023.
By examining multiple articles, Fox News Digital was able to piece together Hunter Biden’s whereabouts during his father’s presidency. It was discovered that Hunter had visited the White House over a dozen times between January 2017 and February 2023, based on reports and articles, including important events like the annual egg roll, the Medal of Freedom ceremony, the France State Dinner, the Christmas tree lighting, and his daughter’s wedding. Surprisingly, none of these visits appeared in the White House visitor logs, suggesting extended stays were not recorded.
Previously, Fox News Digital reported on Hunter Biden’s attempts to leverage ceremonial events for personal financial gain during the Obama administration. He would coordinate with White House personnel to invite business associates and potential partners to official events.
When questioned about Hunter Biden’s visits not being included in the White House records, a White House official referred to a policy announced at the beginning of the administration. The policy, which appears less transparent than the one during the Obama administration, states that access data related to purely personal guests of the First and Second Families would not be shared unless the visits involve official or political activities.
According to Fox News Digital’s investigation, the Obama administration did not disclose all visits from Biden family members, including some visits from Hunter. However, they did include over 70 records of visits from individuals like Hunter, his daughters, his now-ex-wife, Biden’s brothers, and other relatives.
Hunter Biden, President Biden’s siblings, his daughter, and granddaughters do not appear on any of the visitor logs from the Biden administration. Given his close relationship with his brother and senior staff members, it is likely that Valerie Biden Owens, President Biden’s sister, visited the White House more times than officially recorded.
It is unclear whether Hunter, his wife Melissa Cohen Biden, their daughter Ashley Biden, and his niece Valerie Owens attended the state banquet in December 2022 honoring French President Emmanuel Macron.
The New York Post reported that Hunter Biden has been frequently spotted at the White House between March and June 2023, months not yet recorded in the visitor logs. There are even speculations that he may be living there permanently. While it remains uncertain if Hunter and his family were living in the White House, he has been seen there frequently.
Just hours before Hunter Biden was listed as an attendee at the White House state dinner for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his wife, the House Ways and Means Committee released the results of an interview with an IRS whistleblower. The whistleblower revealed a 2017 WhatsApp message in which Hunter allegedly threatened a Chinese business associate.
Videos of Hunter Biden mingling with guests at the state banquet showed him appearing happy and laughing. He was later seen boarding Marine One for a trip to Camp David, where he stayed until returning to the White House with his father and son.
During a vacation to Ireland with his father and Aunt Valerie in April, Hunter was observed assisting with a question from a child to President Biden, which attracted online mockery. He also attended the White House egg roll during the same week.
In April, Biden’s brother Francis, or “Frank,” attended a state banquet for South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol while he was in Washington, D.C. It is unknown if any members of the Biden family will be recorded as visitors to the White House between March and June 2023 or in subsequent months.
Bloomberg conducted an investigation into Biden’s White House visitor logs and found “duplications, anomalies, and missing names.” The accuracy and completeness of the logs, which record business meetings, social functions, and receptions with Biden and other officials, have been called into question.
Former White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain, despite his prominent position, was documented with only six visitors over a two-year period, according to Bloomberg’s investigation. The logs also fail to explicitly indicate who guests were meeting with, as lower-ranking employees were listed instead of high-profile hosts, as seen with George Soros’ son Alex Soros visiting Klain.
Apart from the concerns about Hunter Biden’s international business transactions, criticism has been directed at President Biden’s lack of transparency regarding guests at his Delaware residences, including his beach house. When Republicans requested to see the files found in Biden’s garage earlier this year, the president’s legal team stated that they do not keep track of visitors at the White House.
After sensitive materials were discovered at Biden’s Wilmington house and his think tank’s office in Washington, D.C., a special counsel probe was initiated to investigate Biden’s handling of the documents. The House Oversight and Accountability Committee also requested access to the visitor logs for Biden’s residences.
