In response to the testimony of a former employee of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) who claimed that the agency had gotten a WhatsApp communication in which Hunter Biden mentioned the name of his father, a legal representative for Hunter Biden has made a statement. Gary Shapley Jr., a Criminal Supervisory Special Agent for the IRS, is the person who came out with allegations that the agency obtained a communication that was sent on July 30, 2017, from Hunter Biden to Henry Zhao, who is the CEO of Harvest Fund Management. According to the message, Hunter Biden put pressure on Zhao by implying that his father was present in order to get Zhao to fulfill a pledge.

Christopher Clark, an attorney who represents Hunter Biden, has sent a statement to Fox News Digital in which he categorically refutes the allegations, arguing that they are both deceptive and motivated by politics. Clark contends that the topic has been plagued for years by biased leaks and that it is dangerously deceptive to draw conclusions based on the document that was revealed by the whistleblower. Clark’s argument is based on the fact that the material was released by the whistleblower. During the time period covered by the inquiry conducted by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Clark’s client went through a difficult period marked by addiction and upheaval. Clark draws attention to this era.

Clark maintains that any statements or acts that can be attributed to his client during the course of his battle with addiction are entirely his own and have no connection to his family in any way. He stresses the fact that Hunter Biden accepted responsibility for two instances of misdemeanor failure to file tax payments as well as a firearm charge as a result of the investigation that was conducted by the DOJ and lasted for a period of five years. Clark refutes the claim that the probe was insufficient or that his client was given preferential treatment.

Clark distances Hunter Biden from the substance of the purported WhatsApp message by noting that any comments or actions that were verified during his addiction were his own and were not related to his family. This statement was made in reference to the reported WhatsApp communication. The message makes reference to waiting for a call with his father and suggests that there will be consequences if the guidelines are not followed.

Mark Lytle, Shapley’s attorney, explains that the WhatsApp chats were discovered through a search warrant and not from Hunter Biden’s laptop or any other questionable source. He adds that the source of the texts is not suspect. Lytle claims that Shapley stated that a search warrant was used to access Hunter Biden’s iCloud account, which included other information and WhatsApp chats. Shapley’s testimony is based on Lytle’s version. According to Lytle, the information is reliable and pertinent to interactions with a Chinese energy company as well as Hunter Biden’s earnings.

Ian Sams, a spokesperson for the White House Counsel’s Office, has reiterated that President Biden was not involved in business with his son in response to charges made by a whistleblower. Sams underlines that decisions regarding criminal investigations are made independently by the Justice Department and asserts that the White House had no participation in any of these choices. Sams reaffirms President Biden’s affection for his son, his delight in Hunter Biden accepting responsibility for his acts, and his support for his son’s efforts to reconstruct his life. Sams further mentions that President Biden is proud of Hunter Biden’s acceptance of responsibility.
