Republicans are allegedly strategizing how to press charges against the president’s son, and high-ranking White House officials have allegedly “butted heads” with Hunter Biden ahead of his court hearings.
Multiple legal battles, including possible charges of tax fraud and illegally purchasing a gun, investigations into his alleged business corruption led by the Republican Party, and a child support case in Arkansas, are reportedly making it difficult for Hunter Biden to communicate with White House officials, as reported by Axios.
Since their son’s legal difficulties are so serious, President Joe Biden and his wife have reportedly hired prominent attorney Abbe Lowell to represent him. They did something “unprecedented” and “unexpected” to make a more powerful statement than they had been able to make with their earlier advice.
“High-level Democrats and others are worried about the president’s son asking for money to pay for his legal troubles,” the report says. The White House is also not delighted with the idea that Hunter Biden’s legal team will have to “move toward creating a legal defense fund and hiring ethics advisers for it.”
For the fund to be effective, former Justice Department spokesman Anthony Coley said, “it must be very open and even strict, like not letting foreigners or registered lobbyists give money.” Without these limits on the money, the White House will have a difficult time resting.
A civil defense fund has not yet been established, according to sources close to Hunter Biden.
The Biden White House has been silent on the legal troubles facing the family even as Republicans continue to compile evidence to force them out of office.
The post claims that Hunter Biden has “millions of dollars in legal debt” and is unable to maintain himself financially.
