In an unexpected turn of events, Hunter Biden secured a coveted spot on the guest list for a grand state luncheon hosted at the illustrious White House. The occasion was a prestigious tribute to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his wife, despite the lingering controversy surrounding Hunter’s recent plea deal. The invitation materialized shortly after the public became privy to his decision to plead guilty to two misdemeanors pertaining to his willful failure to fulfill federal income tax obligations.

David C. Weiss, the esteemed United States Attorney for the District of Delaware, revealed that Hunter Biden’s mounting federal income tax arrears amounted to an eye-watering sum of over a hundred thousand dollars for each of the past two years. Additionally, he found himself embroiled in a separate legal matter involving a felony charge related to the possession of a firearm while being an unlawful user of or addicted to a controlled substance. Fortunately for Hunter, he had brokered a pretrial diversion agreement that skillfully circumvented the need for a trial.

Curiosity surrounding Hunter’s presence prompted reporters to probe President Biden about his son. In response, the President offered an affirmative thumbs-up gesture, symbolizing unwavering support for his embattled progeny. On another occasion, faced with a similar query, the President flashed a warm smile before extending a friendly handshake to Hunter.

When news of the charges broke, the White House promptly dispatched spokesperson Ian Sams to address the matter. Sams issued a statement underscoring President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump’s enduring love and unwavering backing for their son. However, the White House refrained from further elaboration, opting to maintain a measured silence on the unfolding situation.

Approximately 400 distinguished guests received coveted invitations to partake in the extravagant state luncheon. Among them was James Biden, the President’s brother, whose international business dealings have drawn scrutiny from Republican quarters.

Throughout his father’s tenure in office, Hunter Biden had become a familiar face at esteemed state dinners, even gracing the inaugural state banquet held in honor of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Republicans wasted no time in criticizing the perceived preferential treatment afforded to Hunter Biden due to his familial ties with the President. Detractors lambasted the plea deal, with Senator Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee insinuating that its suspicious timing, coinciding with the arraignment of former President Donald Trump, cast a dubious shadow over the proceedings.

Among the notable guests in attendance at the state banquet were Ashley Biden, Hunter Biden’s daughter, Naomi Biden, Huma Abedin, Ralph Lauren, Tim Cook, Billie Jean King, M. Night Shyamalan, and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
