An ICE agent was hospitalized following a shooting incident in Minneapolis that involved a woman being struck by gunfire, authorities confirmed.

The agent, who was on duty in the city during the incident, sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Law enforcement sources indicated that the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation, with both federal and local agencies examining what led up to the exchange of gunfire.

According to officials, the woman who was shot was also taken to a medical facility with non-fatal injuries. Her condition has been described as stable, and she is receiving appropriate care while investigators continue to gather information.

Minneapolis police, in coordination with ICE and federal prosecutors, have launched an inquiry into the sequence of events, including the actions of the agent and the sequence that resulted in the woman being wounded. At this stage, investigators are reviewing witness statements, video footage, and physical evidence from the scene.

Federal authorities have not disclosed the identities of those involved, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation. Meanwhile, both local and federal law enforcement expressed commitment to a thorough and impartial review.

The incident has raised questions within the community as residents and officials await further details. Law enforcement leaders emphasized that updates will be provided as they become available and that they are working to ensure public safety and accountability throughout the process.
