Let’s face it… anyone who is 30+ knows Sharon Stone and knows about Basic Instinct and that one infamous scene. It made her a household name for a time and probably a permanent A-lister.

The Hollywood swamp has been getting drained with more and more actors, actresses, and those generally working in the industry stepping forward.

Eliza Dushku recently stepped forward about her time on the True Lies film. And a finger has been pointed at funnyman Aziz Ansari.

Someone recently asked Sharon Stone if she’s ever been sexually harassed among the Hollywood elite. Given her role in Basic Instinct, I guess asking would seem pretty natural. Too often people think such acts, roles, and the like must mean it’s OK to be a creepy person… it’s not.

After the question was asked, Stone laughed for nearly a full 10 seconds before answering.

She responds: “Can you imagine the business I stepped into 40 years ago… looking like I look?”

“[i’m] from Nowhere, Pennsylvania, I didn’t come here with any protection. I have seen it all.”

Here’s a short, and not so up to date list of some heavy hitters who have fallen so far:

Danny Masterson, Matt Lauer, Charlie Rose, Al Franken, John Conyers Jr., Louis C.K., Andy Dick, Kevin Spacey, and of course Harvey Weinstein — the one who started it all. Well, at least the fall of Hollywood.

    From BBC:

The New York Times publishes a story detailing decades of allegations of sexual harassment against Harvey Weinstein. Actresses Rose McGowan and Ashley Judd are among the women who come forward.

Among the accusations are that he forced women to massage him and watch him naked. He also promised to help advance their careers in return for sexual favors.

Weinstein issues an apology acknowledging he “has caused a lot of pain” – but disputes allegations he harassed female employees over nearly three decades.

Weinstein’s lawyer tells The Hollywood Reporter his client is preparing to sue the New York Times.

Weinstein says he is taking a “leave of absence” from The Weinstein Company and is working with a therapist.
