The white woman who passed herself a black and even became the president of a chapter of the NAACP, before being discovered to be a fraud, has been arrested for welfare fraud.

At the same time, she was collecting nearly $9,000 in welfare benefits at the same time she deposited $84,000 in the bank. She had applied for welfare claiming that her only income was $300 a month she was being given by friends and relatives. Washington state’s Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) investigated her finances after she published a book on what is like to be a black woman in a white world. Hmmm, Must be fiction.

    From The Daily Caller

The money came from sales of Dolezal’s autobiography, as well as other ventures the former NAACP founder engaged in since leaving her role in the organization. Dolezal illegally received $8,747 in food assistance and $100 in childcare assistance between 2015 and 2017, authorities said.

Dolezal did report holding a one-time job in October 2017 worth $20,000, court documents show.

She was born white but tanned her skin and changed her hair later in life to claim she’s “transracial” and identifies as black. Dolezal managed to work her way up to the presidency of an NAACP chapter in Washington state before her parents confirmed she was white in 2015.

Dolezal then capitalized on her lies by doing a show that appeared on Netflix in April. It was widely panned but she got paid nonetheless. The show was titled The Rachel Divide. She also was selling calendars of herself in different poses with inspirational quotes. I wonder if “To Thine own self be true” from Hamlet was one of them. Probably not.

Dolezal isn’t the only white person who has capitalized on pretending to be black. Many allege that Shawn King uses this as well and now writes for the New York Daily News. This week he wrote an article on how a policeman savagely assaulted a black woman sexually in his cruiser. Body cam evidence proved the accusation was as real as King’s black heritage.
