In response to President Joe Biden’s recent statements on his signature legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act, Twitter users were urged to study the entire text of the law.
President Joe Biden has been campaigning throughout the country for Democratic candidates in the last days leading up to the midterm elections, using social media to attack Republicans as “ultra-MAGA fanatics” or to brag about his own achievements.
By Friday, Twitter had decided that Biden had gone too far and had to be banned.
The next year, in 2020, President Joe Biden tweeted, “Let me give you the facts,” referencing the $55 businesses that had gotten $40 billion. And they certainly didn’t pay any federal income taxes. This is now impossible, as my Inflation Control Act has passed.
Let me explain more so you can get the full picture.
In the year 2020, $55 businesses generated $40 billion. Additionally, they did not pay any federal income taxes.
My proposed Inflation Control Act will ensure that this scenario never arises again.
It was President Joe Biden (@POTUS) on October 29, 2022.
A flag with additional information that readers “thought individuals may want to know” was added just below the president’s tweet.
This section now includes the statement that “the inflation reduction act placed a minimum tax on enterprises with average pre-tax earnings more than $1 billion,” as well as resources from Reuters and the government’s website for further study.
According to the statement, just 14 of the 55 companies included in the tweet had revenues of above $1 billion, rendering them ineligible for Biden’s plan. This is based on a piece published in The Washington Post.
Since Elon Musk bought Twitter, the social media platform has begun investigating the validity of claims made by the political left. Finally. Republican Army Ranger and former Pennsylvania Senate candidate Sean Parnell (R) expressed his appreciation in a tweet.
Brennon Chapman made the statement, “After hearing that Biden had been fact-checked, it’s like we entered another universe.”
A representative from Virginia, Glenn Davis, said that Elon Musk’s new Twitter was his favorite social networking platform.
Viva Frei (@thevivafrei) provided context by tweeting a statement by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), in which Graham argued that Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act” would have just a little effect on inflation. Graham said this based on a CBO prediction.
The measure “had no discernible effect on inflation,” Graham, a senior member of the Senate Budget Committee, told the Congressional Budget Office.
