In a recent interview with MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski, First Lady Jill Biden expressed strong disapproval of House Republicans for displaying nude photographs of her son, Hunter Biden, during congressional hearings. Describing the Republicans’ actions as ‘cruel,’ Jill Biden defended Hunter, highlighting his journey of rebuilding his life post-addiction and expressing concern about the impact on her grandchildren.

The interview, which aired on “Morning Joe,” touched upon various topics, including the upcoming 2024 presidential campaign and Jill Biden’s ongoing work as the First Lady. In the conversation, she stood firm in defense of her family, especially in light of ongoing criticism and investigations into Hunter Biden’s business dealings.

Jill Biden used the word ‘horrible’ to describe the House Republicans’ decision to show photos of Hunter during the hearings. The controversy escalated after Hunter Biden made a brief appearance at a contempt hearing on Capitol Hill, which was soon followed by Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene showcasing a nude photo of him.

The First Lady also responded to the broader criticism facing the Biden family, including allegations of being a ‘crime family’ and critiques of President Biden’s mental competence and honesty. Despite these challenges, Jill Biden expressed an even stronger resolve to support her husband’s potential re-election, emphasizing the importance of preserving democracy.

Furthermore, Jill Biden addressed concerns about President Biden’s age. At 81, he is currently the oldest American to have won the presidency. If re-elected, he would be 86 at the end of his second term. In defense, Jill Biden highlighted President Biden’s daily vigor, energy, passion, and experience, calling his age an ‘asset’ and citing his wisdom and historical knowledge as critical qualities for effective leadership.

The interview also covered the public’s perception of President Biden’s age compared to former President Donald Trump, who is 77 and a frontrunner for the GOP nomination. Despite polls indicating voter concerns about Biden’s age, the President and his team have sought to reframe this as a testament to his experience and suitability for the role.

Concluding the interview, Jill Biden shared insights into President Biden’s work ethic, detailing his continuous engagement with both domestic and international matters well into the night, showcasing his resilience and dedication to his presidential duties.
