As 2023 draws to a close, Americans from various cities have voiced their opinions on President Biden’s performance, reflecting a general sentiment of dissatisfaction. A recent poll revealed that President Biden’s approval rating dipped below 40% for the fifth time this year, indicating a challenging year for his administration.

Citizens like Ginger from Washington, D.C., expressed disappointment, giving Biden a grade of D and criticizing his approach as pandering. In contrast, Treeven, also from D.C., offered a more favorable B-plus, acknowledging his efforts but noting that he has missed the mark.

The Gallup poll from December 22nd showed a slight increase in Biden’s approval rating to 39%, up from 37% in the previous months. However, this rating remains the lowest among modern presidents at this stage of their term, seeking re-election.

Cam from Michigan was particularly critical, stating that Biden is not fit for the job and calling for a leader who is “sharper and more pro-American.” He rated Biden’s performance as an F. This sentiment was echoed by Aaron from Charleston, South Carolina, who also gave Biden an F, citing unfulfilled election promises.

Michelle from D.C. offered a more moderate view, grading Biden a C and acknowledging some positive aspects of his presidency.

As for advice for the coming year, Americans like Treeven suggested that Biden should focus more on the middle and lower classes, highlighting the importance of issues like student loan forgiveness. Ginger emphasized the need for unity, urging Biden to work towards bipartisan compromise.

These varied perspectives on President Biden’s performance reflect the diverse opinions of the American populace, as the nation looks ahead to what 2024 may bring for the Biden administration.
