Joe Rogan Applauds Trump for Revealing “Weird” Government Spending

Joe Rogan has voiced strong support for the recent shutdown of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), calling it a necessary step in eliminating government waste. During a recent episode of his podcast, Rogan praised the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) for exposing what he described as questionable spending practices within the agency.

The move to dismantle USAID follows an investigation revealing millions of dollars in funding for projects that critics argue had little connection to American interests. Among the programs flagged were a $1.5 million initiative promoting workplace diversity in Serbia and a $70,000 grant for a diversity, equity, and inclusion-themed musical production in Ireland. Rogan criticized such expenditures, arguing that taxpayer money should not be funding international social programs at a time when domestic priorities require greater attention.

Supporters of USAID contend that the agency plays a vital role in global humanitarian efforts, advancing U.S. diplomatic objectives and stabilizing regions affected by conflict and poverty. They argue that eliminating the agency could weaken America’s influence abroad and disrupt aid programs benefiting vulnerable populations.

The shutdown of USAID has reignited debate over the size and scope of government agencies, with critics of the decision warning that the loss of U.S.-funded foreign aid could have long-term diplomatic consequences. As discussions continue, officials are assessing which programs may be absorbed by other agencies and whether any aspects of USAID’s operations will be reinstated under different leadership.
