The “The Wire” actor Lance Reddick passed away on Friday morning at his California home. He was 60.

Fans of the “extremely gifted” actor, who is also well-known for his appearances in the John Wick films and the Destiny video games, expressed their condolences on social media.

Although he was unable to make it to an earlier premiere, he uploaded an Instagram photo of himself and his dogs relaxing at home the day before.

The Wire star Lance Reddick has passed away at age 60, only days after failing to appear for a New York premiere.

According to his agent, Mia Hansen, Reddick, who portrayed Cedric Daniels on the hit crime program, passed away “suddenly” of natural causes.

Hansen stated in a statement, “We shall miss Lance a lot. “At this time, please allow his family some privacy.

Supposedly, his corpse was discovered at his Studio City, California, residence at about 9:30 a.m. on Friday. Very immediately, people began praising his abilities.

He only just shared an Instagram photo of his three pups and a caption referencing Hard Rock hotels and National Puppy Day.

Reddick, who plays the concierge Charon in the John Wick films, was now in the midst of a publicity tour to promote the series.

His Wick 4 premiere with co-star Keanu Reaves was on a Wednesday night, but he didn’t show there. Reddick did not explain his absence.

It was also reported that he will be appearing on Kelly Clarkson’s show the following week.

The actor’s representatives have been contacted by DailyMail.com to get their take on the situation.

He posted many images of himself and his three dogs yesterday on a post meant to promote Hard Rock hotels.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that I pampered my pets both on and off screen, he said.

He had uploaded a video of himself singing “and the rhythm goes on” with glee three days prior, complete with the barking of his dogs in the background.

Reddick’s portrayal of Daniels on The Wire, a popular HBO crime series, will be his lasting legacy. Together with stars like Dominic West and Idris Elba, he appeared in every single one of the show’s 60 episodes.

Michael K. Williams, another star of “The Wire,” passed away in September 2021 at the age of 54 after an accidental drug overdose.
