A judge in Kings County, Washington state has ruled that the recall petition against Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan can go forward. This is a case of the left eating their own. Even though she stood by the rioters and even allowed them to occupy a chunk of Seattle, it’s that same group that is demanding her recall. Of the seven charges made against her only one was sufficient for the petition.
The protesters who assaulted, looted and burned is upset because the police used tear gas to quell the riots. The petitioners must now get 50,000 valid signatures on their petition in order to vote Durkan out of office. But considering how liberal Durkan is, who would be any more radical? Try communist city council member Kshame Sawant.
Antifa and BLM evidently do not want their violence to be met by force. Besides with Sawant running the city they will have everything their own way. Sawant gave the rioters her key to city hall so they could invade and occupy the building. She also led the protest at Durkan’s home even though her home address ism protected by state law.
The petitioners filed seven charges against Durkan, but of those charges, only one of them was applicable to support the recall election— the use of tear gas and other chemical agents against rioting in the streets that erupted in Seattle during the protests and over George Floyd’s death in May.
Seattle Police used pepper spray and flash bangs to stop the riots in Seattle, which had been going on for days since Floyd’s death.
The recall effort is called the “Fire the Mayor” campaign.
