A state judge in New Jersey has ruled that the city of Paterson must redo the election of one of the council members after it was discovered that there was massive fraud from the mail in balloting. In fact 19% of all ballots were determined to be fraudulent.
The post office notified the city of Paterson that they had found hundreds of ballots in just one mail deposit box. That led to the discovery that altogether there were 3100 fraudulent ballots. In one of the city council races, the difference was only 250 votes. The winner of that race, Alex Mendez has been arrested on six charges including voter fraud.
Three other people were charged with voter fraud in the case. They are Paterson Council Vice President Michael Jackson, Abu Rayzen of Prospect Park and Shelim Khalique of Wayne.
Remember how the Democrats keep telling us that mail in balloting is free from fraud? 19% is a huge chunk of fraudulent ballots. I am familiar with Paterson as my only child was born at the hospital there on Main St.
New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal (D) said in a statement:
“Today’s charges send a clear message: If you try to tamper with an election in New Jersey, we will find you and we will hold you accountable. We will not allow a small number of criminals to undermine the public’s confidence in our democratic process.”
President Donald Trump cited the Paterson City Council election in his argument against nationwide mail-in voting.
“Absentee Ballots are fine. A person has to go through a process to get and use them. Mail-In Voting, on the other hand, will lead to the most corrupt Election is USA history. Bad things happen with Mail-Ins,” President Trump tweeted in June. “Just look at Special Election in Patterson, N.J. 19% of Ballots a FRAUD!”
