Tom Fitton, the head of Judicial Watch, was worried that Harris’s words could start a revolution.
This weekend, Vice President Kamala Harris gave a “loud” and emotional speech in Nashville. She attacked Tennessee Republicans for silencing their political opponents by moving to get rid of Democrats from the state house. Conservatives on Twitter were very angry about what Harris said.
Harris gave a sermon at a church in the state on Friday in response to the vote that led to the expulsion of two state representatives and almost led to the expulsion of a third. She said that the GOP-majority governing body was trashing democracy by silencing the politicians and the people they serve.
Rep. Jeremy Faison, who is in charge of the Tennessee Republican Caucus, and other state GOP leaders have supported the lawmakers’ expulsion by saying that they sometimes held disruptive protests in the state building this week.
He said that the protesters were following them like a band.
At one point in his speech, Vice President Harris got so angry that he almost yelled, “It wasn’t about the three of these leaders. Who they gave a voice to was important. Exactly whose sounds did they think they heard? Take it into consideration!
She waved her hands and asked, “Isn’t that what a democracy lets you do?” in front of a loud group of people. She then said, “In a democracy, you don’t shut up the people.” You won’t be able to silence the people.
You don’t turn off their microphones when they’re talking about how important life and freedom are. At this point, the pro-abortion official was almost yelling.
Some of the Vice President’s critics on Twitter have called her out for being too “loud,” while others have made fun of her for supporting the scary protests in Tennessee’s capital building, even though Democrats have linked conservative calls to protest to encouraging violence.
Tom Fitton, the head of Judicial Watch, said, “Incitement to insurrection?” This is how the Democratic Party talks about Republicans who call for protests.
When Republican immigration lawyer Matthew Kolken heard Harris’s passionate plea to stop censorship, he asked, “Then why was the Hunter Biden laptop story silenced?”
Damian Ranger, a Christian conservative bookkeeper, sent a tweet making fun of both parties about how many Democrats and Harris talked about what happened on January 6. He told Kamala that the Tennessee Insurrection had been a lot worse than the Civil War, Pearl Harbor, or September 11. When our freedom is at risk, we won’t stay quiet.
Leo Libertad, a member of the Florida Republican Party and a right leader, asked, “What in the hell is wrong with this woman?”
Mike Davis, a right-wing activist, said, “There’s the loud, stupid, and angry ex-senator I remember well.”
