Former Vice President Kamala Harris called on President Donald Trump to immediately release all files related to the Jeffrey Epstein investigation during a podcast appearance Wednesday, accusing him of “gaslighting the American people” by delaying disclosure.
Speaking on a recorded interview, Harris challenged Trump’s assertion that he requires congressional approval to act, insisting that as the nation’s top executive, he already possesses the authority to release the documents unilaterally. “So, release the files!” she said emphatically.
The remarks came just hours before Trump signed legislation directing the U.S. Department of Justice to publish unclassified Epstein-related records. Harris argued the bill was the result of public pressure rather than proactive leadership.
Her call highlights the intense political spotlight on the Epstein documents and adds to the urgency surrounding their imminent release.
