Her husband, Doug Emhoff, is lobbying Democrats to back Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024 if President Joe Biden decides not to seek reelection.

Politico claimed on Tuesday that several of the “would-be successors,” including Harris, have been “consumed” by the possibility of Biden not seeking reelection. Democratic insiders claim that Democrats are “skeptical about her [Harris’] viability in 2024,” which implies that Emhoff’s comments have “generated eye-rolling in the West Wing.”

A Democratic House member reportedly added, “We’ll be asked whether we prefer Kamala when we say we don’t want Biden.

Among the other potential 2024 contenders listed in the report are California’s secretary of transportation, Gavin Newsom, and Michigan’s governor Gretchen Whitmer.

James Carville, a Democratic strategist, says we should look for a president who is younger than 75. Vice President Biden will be 80 this month.

Former South Carolina governor and U.S. ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley said in an interview a year ago that senior officials ought to take a “cognitive test” before Joe Biden’s birthday.

Let’s now be honest. Many of our elderly people hold leadership positions. And saying that is not impolite. Haley claims that to be true. In that sense, this shouldn’t be partisan. If we want it, we should pay careful consideration to how old the leaders of our country are.

According to an August ABC panel that Townhall highlighted, Harris is not the “heir apparent” if Biden decides not to run for governor.

“There is only fear when you bring up this topic in private with powerful Democrats on Capitol Hill and other party officials. They believed he shouldn’t run, so they said. According to Jonathan Karl of ABC, there is a perception that if he decides not to run, Kamala Harris won’t be the only contender to prevail in the primary.
