Kamala Harris is trying to get people to vote for Democrats in November by offering everyone government hand out checks. She wants the government to give every family that makes less than $100,00 a year to get $500 a month from the government. According to the 2010 census, there are over 114,000,000 families in America.
Over 90% of them make less than $100,000 a year, multiply by $6,000. That comes out to $615,600,000,000 a year. It’s reckless. You take 615 billion here and $615 billion there, and before you know it, you are talking real money. Of course, Democrats won’t really give you back any of your money, since they know how to spend it better than you do.
According to Harris’ office, recipients could receive the money in either monthly payments or annually.
“The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy estimates the (bill) would impact one in every two workers and two out of every three children in America,” according to Harris’ office, in addition to approximately 1 million Pell Grant-eligible college students.
Harris’ announcement also included endorsements from several elected officials and organizations, including Alice Huffman, president of the California NAACP, Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg, Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs and the mayors of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Oakland and Long Beach.
Tubbs, has drawn national attention for a “basic income” program that begins next year for city residents. It, too, will offer $500 a month to residents who meet income requirements.
If you think the Democrats are going to give up $615 billion every year, you are losing your mind. This is to give incentive for voters to vote for Democrats. It’ like Charley Brown, Lucy and the football. Charley believes Lucy and just before his foot meets the ball, Lucy pulls it away. And like Charley Brown, Democratic voters never learn.
