Kanye West is at it again. He is defending the supporters of President Trump from the left wing socialists, who lose on the issues, so they try to win with insults. West was being interviewed by David Letterman on Netflix when he began to criticize the hapless Democrats.
He told Letterman that he had never voted in his life, so Letterman told him he does not have a say. That is a lie. When you promote President Trump and you have millions and millions of followers, you always have a say.
West appeared in the Oval Office last year and the liberals called for a boycott of his new album, which turned out to be the most successful one of his career so far.
Last October, West held court in the Oval Office in perhaps the most extraordinary summit ever to occur in that hallowed office.
He was brilliant, profane, braggadocious, spacey, defensive, ethereal, pragmatic and flat-out weird during the 20-minute pool spray, when the media was trotted in.
On the Second Amendment, West said, “Illegal guns is the problem, not legal guns.” Then he showed Trump a picture on his phone of a hydrogen-powered “iPlane1.” “This is what our President should be flying in!” West said.
After answering a question from the media, West said: “I don’t answer questions in simple soundbites. You are tasting a fine wine. It has multiple notes to it.” Later, he speculated that “We might have been here before, but right now we’re here together.”
At one point, sitting across from the most powerful man in the world, West said President Trump “might not have expected to have a crazy motherf**ker run up and support.”
But he was also brilliant. At another point, West cut to the very essence of the political discord in America right now, after he said, “We need to stop working on red and blue. It’s like a gang again!”
“We can bend a bit on this side, we can bend a bit on that side, and we can learn how to be malleable …. We don’t have to stick to our old traditions. We aren’t a side — we are one unit, we are one country, we are one moment in history and time,” West said.
