In a heated exchange during a recent press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre firmly rejected allegations against President Biden regarding his past dealings with Hunter Biden’s business associates. The confrontation started with New York Post reporter Steven Nelson questioning the President’s interactions with these associates, which has been a focal point of the impeachment inquiry initiated by House Republicans.
Jean-Pierre criticized the Republicans for what she described as squandering time on baseless accusations. She accused them of neglecting critical issues such as Ukraine funding, border security, and the potential government shutdown next year. “There’s absolutely no evidence of any wrongdoing by the President,” Jean-Pierre asserted, dismissing the inquiry as a political stunt.
As Nelson tried to counter her statement by suggesting evidence of Biden’s interactions with his family’s business associates, Jean-Pierre interrupted, reiterating the lack of evidence and the baseless nature of the allegations.
“The President has not lied about anything related to what House Republicans are pursuing. They are wasting their time and that of the American people,” Jean-Pierre responded. She emphasized that the Republicans should instead address pressing national issues, criticizing them for not taking action to prevent the upcoming potential government shutdown.
This exchange follows a recent press conference where President Biden was questioned about his alleged interactions with his son and brother’s foreign business associates. Biden vehemently denied these interactions, labeling the claims as lies. However, a former business associate of Hunter Biden contradicted the President’s denial in a statement to Fox News Digital, calling Biden’s claim “complete malarkey” and asserting that there is ample evidence to refute his denial.
