Two years ago, Kate Steinle was murdered in San Franciso while on a tourist pier with her father. Tragic, and it honestly could have been prevented but thanks to the failings of San Fran… it wasn’t.
Juan Franciso Lopez-Sanchez, the man charged with her murder, is a seven-time felon and repeat illegal alien having been deported five times already. Yes, that’s right, folks… A repeat illegal alien… five times…
The fact is that Lopez-Sanchez shouldn’t have been at that pier. He shouldn’t have been released from custody. And if San Francisco had more concern with American citizens rather than hurting someones feelings over ILLEGAL immigration, this wouldn’t have happened.
San Francisco did not notify ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) of his release like they should have and were suppose to per ICE’s request. They refused to do so and continue to refuse to cooperate with immigration authorities. In fact, it’s city policy.
While San Fran is a problem they are only one of nearly 300 cities which refuses to cooperate with immigration law enforcement.
Now enter Kate’s Law. This law will increase the penalties for illegal aliens who have been previously deported and caught trying to, or having already, reentered The United States.
The House finally passed a bill that’s become known as “Kate’s Law,” which would increase penatlies for illegal aliens who have already been deported and are caught attempting to reenter the country. 24 Democrats voted in support of the bill, with 1 Republican voting “no”.
Donald Trump has gone on the record as well, praising it.

There’s another side to the bill as well. It will deny grants to so-called Sanctuary Cities who do not comply. Though, amazing, 7 Republicans voted NO on this.

“No Sanctuary for Criminals Act,” would cut federal grants to states and “sanctuary cities” that refuse to cooperate with law enforcement carrying out immigration enforcement activities.
“The word ‘sanctuary’ calls to mind someplace safe, but too often for families and victims affected by illegal immigrant crime, sanctuary cities are anything but safe,” Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly asserted in the pre-vote press conference.
“It is beyond my comprehension why federal state and local officials … would actively discourage or outright prevent law enforcement agencies from upholding the laws of the United States,” he added.
