Bruce Paddock, one of the brothers of Stephen Paddock, the Las Vegas mass shooter, was arrested in California for alleged being in possession of child pornography.
As part of their press release, the L.A. Police Department stated that they began their investigation when evidence came to light where Paddock was squatting at a local business after being evicted from his home.
“At the time of the initial investigation Paddock was a transient and could not be located,” police said.
An FBI spokeswoman confirmed that federal officials assisted the Los Angeles Police Department Wednesday in arresting Bruce Paddock. They further commented that the child porn case predates the Las Vegas shooting. It wasn’t immediately known if Bruce Paddock has an attorney.
In case you somehow forgot Stephen Paddock opened fire at a country music concert in Las Vegas earlier this month, killing fifty-eight people by opening fire on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay casino-hotel tower and eventually took his own life.
His other brother, Eric, spoke with the press and seemed very blindsided by what had occurred.
“Steve took care of the people he loved. He helped make me and my family wealthy. He’s the reason I was able to retire. This is the Steve we know, we knew. The people he loved and took care of,” Eric Paddock said.
“My mom was born in the Depression, she had a tough life her husband was an a******. She raised four kids on a secretary salary and some of us weren’t great kids — we were bad kids at some level. We grew up poor in San Fernando Valley,” he said.
Eric has yet to release a statement about what has now happened to his brother Bruce.
