Two Las Vegas teens are accused of purposely running down a cyclist during a two-hour criminal spree that included stealing cars, burglarizing, and trying to hurt another rider. Jesus Ayala, 18, and Jzamir Keys, 16, are charged with murdering former California police chief Andreas “Andy” Probst, 64, who was biking when Ayala hit him with a stolen automobile. Probst’s death was first ruled a hit-and-run until video proof.
Besides murder, Ayala faces 18 accusations, including attempted murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, fleeing the scene of an accident, and theft and burglary. Keys faces murder, attempted murder, and assault charges. The car thefts, collisions, and burglaries left a path of ruin.
These shocking occurrences demonstrate the teens’ sins and their sad repercussions.
