Republican Colorado State Representative Lauren Boebert has expressed her disapproval of Democratic Senator John Fetterman’s attire, describing his decision to wear sweats to a Senate press conference as “truly unbecoming” and suggesting that he should be fired from any job for such a choice of clothing.

Boebert took to Twitter to criticize Fetterman’s appearance, stating that he had “redefined casual Friday on a Thursday morning.” She emphasized that it is inappropriate for anyone, let alone someone in a position held by only 100 elected individuals, to show up to work dressed in such a manner.

During the press conference, Fetterman stood alongside four other Democratic senators who were all dressed in suits and ties. However, Fetterman stood out in his white hoodie, gray exercise shorts, and running shoes.

Boebert expressed her disbelief, stating that there was simply no excuse for Fetterman’s choice of attire. She pointed out that Fetterman had previously gained attention for wearing sweatpants while serving as the mayor of Braddock and during his campaign for the Pennsylvania Senate.

Fetterman’s attire in the Senate has drawn attention on multiple occasions, particularly since his return from a six-week hospital stay to receive treatment for mental depression. Despite the criticism, Fetterman has been spotted wearing a hoodie and shorts in the Senate, even after his prolonged absence.

When approached for a response to Boebert’s critique, Fetterman’s office did not immediately provide a comment.

Adding to the controversy surrounding Fetterman, Fox News Digital recently alleged that his staff had manipulated transcriptions of his remarks from various hearings due to concerns about his health.
