Letitia James Slams Trump’s “Revenge Tour” Over Mortgage Fraud Accusations

New York Attorney General Letitia James has pushed back forcefully against recent mortgage fraud allegations, calling them a politically driven attack aimed at discrediting her office.

The accusations stem from claims that James misrepresented details on mortgage applications, including listing a Virginia home as her primary residence while serving in New York, and allegedly misreporting the size of a Brooklyn property. The matter was referred to federal authorities for further review.

James rejected the charges as baseless and framed them as part of a coordinated effort by President Donald Trump to retaliate against his critics. She reaffirmed her commitment to public service and made clear that political pressure would not deter her from carrying out her duties.

The clash intensifies the ongoing feud between Trump and James, who have been locked in legal battles for years. With both sides trading accusations, the dispute has become a focal point in the broader national conversation about accountability, partisanship, and the legal limits of political power.
