Loretta Lynch, James Comey & Andrew McCabe in HOT SEAT

Sara Carter says it’s looking pretty dismal for Lynch, Comey and McCabe as the Inspector General’s investigation winds down to a close.

It is expected to be over within the next thirty days or so. The IG has investigated the FISA applications and those three among others deceived the FISA judge on the origins of the information used to get the warrants.

    Carter reports:

According to several government officials, the scope of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation into the FBI’s handling of Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information would likely go beyond just the collection of government-issued cell phones and emails. Horowitz’s investigation, which quietly began last January, is expected to wrap up by mid-March. He has interviewed dozens of witnesses, including now removed FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, former FBI Director James Comey, FBI agent Strzok, FBI lawyer Page and other current and former FBI officials.

    PJ Media reports:

“I have been told tonight by a number of sources … that McCabe may have asked FBI agents to actually change their 302s,” Carter told host Sean Hannity.

The 302 form contains information from the notes an FBI agent takes during an interview of a subject. It is used by FBI agents to “report or summarize the interviews that they conduct.”

“So basically every time an FBI agent interviews a witness, they have to go back and file a report,” Carter explained.

There seems to be a little disagreement on why Andrew McCabe was forced to quit. FBI Director Chris Wray confronted McCabe the day after reading the FISA memo, but the New York Times claims it’s what he found out about what the IG has discovered that led to McCabe’s hasty departure. Last June, former legislator Jason Chaffetz said that IG Horowitz was investigating Lynch’s role in the Clinton investigation.

    Daily Mail UK reported:

The Justice Department’s office of inspector general is said to be probing former Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s role in the FBI’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s handling of emails as Secretary of State.

The DoJ watchdog’s probe was revealed Saturday by House oversight committee chairman Jason Chaffetz in an interview with Fox & Friends and joins a Senate Judiciary Committee inquiry into Lynch.

Chaffetz, a Republican representative from Utah, said DoJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz ‘has been diving into this’ and is expected to release a report on Lynch’s oversight of the now-closed FBI investigations in ‘the first part of next year.’

This keeps getting better and better all the time.
